Terms and Conditions

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country of residence if higher, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, to create an account or make a purchase on the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. Where a minor attends an age-appropriate event, the ticket must be purchased and managed by a parent or guardian.

• MAP is a self-service e-ticketing and event-access platform that enables Event Organisers to list, promote, and sell tickets to Event Attendees, and enables Event Attendees to discover and purchase tickets to events.
• MAP is not the organiser or promoter of any event listed on the Platform. The contract for the sale of a ticket is between the Event Attendee and the Event Organiser; MAP facilitates that transaction (including payment processing and ticket delivery) but is not a party to the contract of sale.
• MAP is therefore not responsible for the planning, quality, safety, legality, cancellation, or postponement of any event listed on the Platform, except to the extent expressly stated in our Refund & Cancellation Policy or required by applicable law.

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.
• MAP may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or are used for fraudulent or unlawful activity.

• Event Organisers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their event listings, obtaining all necessary permits, licenses, and permissions required in the country and locality where the event takes place, and complying with all applicable local laws, including consumer protection, health and safety, tax, and event-licensing requirements.
• Event Organisers must set out their own refund, cancellation, and age-restriction policies on their event page, consistent with MAP's Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable law.
• MAP may require Event Organisers to complete identity and business verification (KYC) before releasing payouts, and may withhold or delay payouts to fund legitimate refunds, investigate suspected fraud, or comply with a payment partner's or regulator's requirements.
• MAP reserves the right to remove any event listing, at its discretion, that violates these Terms, applicable law, or that MAP reasonably believes poses a legal, safety, or reputational risk.

• Ticket prices are set by the Event Organiser and displayed, together with any applicable MAP service/convenience fee and payment processing charge, before you complete a purchase.
• Prices may be displayed in the local currency of the country where the event is held, or in another currency as MAP expands its supported markets; currency conversion, where applicable, is performed by our payment partners and MAP is not responsible for exchange-rate fluctuations.
• All ticket sales are subject to our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.
• MAP reserves the right to correct pricing errors on the Platform and to cancel orders placed at an incorrect price, with a full refund of any amount paid.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or to list, promote, or sell tickets to an illegal event;
• Engage in ticket touting, scalping, or unauthorized resale where prohibited by the Event Organiser's terms or by local law;
• Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to purchase tickets in a manner that circumvents purchase limits or platform security;
• Upload false, misleading, defamatory, hateful, or infringing content;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other users' accounts, or MAP's systems;
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform, including through malware, denial-of-service attacks, or scraping;
• Use the Platform to launder money or facilitate any other financial crime.

MAP may investigate suspected violations and take action including content removal, order cancellation, account suspension, payout withholding, and reporting to law enforcement.

The Platform, including its software, design, logos, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to MAP and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform without our prior written consent. Event Organisers retain ownership of the content they upload (e.g., event descriptions and images) but grant MAP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote that content on and in connection with the Platform.

You are solely responsible for any content you submit to the Platform (including event listings, reviews, and messages) and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit it and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate applicable law. MAP may remove any content that violates these Terms.

The Platform integrates with third-party payment processors, hosting providers, and other service providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and MAP is not responsible for their acts or omissions.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. MAP does not warrant or guarantee that any event listed on the Platform will take place, meet your expectations, or be safe, and MAP will not be liable for the quality, conduct, or cancellation of any event, which remains the sole responsibility of the Event Organiser.

MAP will not issue refunds, credits, or compensation where an Event Attendee is dissatisfied with the quality, content, execution, or cancellation of an event. Such matters are the sole responsibility of the Event Organiser, and Event Attendees should raise disputes directly with the relevant Organiser in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MAP, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your violation of any law or third-party right; (c) content you submit to the Platform; or (d), for Event Organisers, the planning, conduct, or cancellation of your event.

MAP may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or unlawful conduct, or where required by law or a payment partner. You may close your account at any time by contacting support, subject to completion of any pending transactions and our data retention obligations under the Privacy Policy.

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of God, fire, flood, war, epidemic or pandemic, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, or government action.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, or resolved by arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, as MAP may elect. If you are located outside Nigeria, this governing-law and forum selection does not deprive you of any consumer protection to which you are entitled under the mandatory law of your country of habitual residence, which continues to apply to the extent required by that law.

We may amend these Terms from time to time, including to reflect our expansion into new countries. We will post the revised Terms with an updated “Last Reviewed” date and, for material changes, provide reasonable prior notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

• Entire Agreement:These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MAP regarding the Platform.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
• No Waiver:MAP's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; MAP may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Relationship: Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and MAP.
